This beautifully decorative high glaze, smooth surface photo reproduction ceramic tile is an excellent way to display a bit of New York City Subway nostalgia in your home or office.
"Borough Hall's first subway station in 1908 was served by the IRT 4 - 5 trains. Heins & LaFarge's deep mosaic frieze - "BH" encircled by a wreath identified the station. Some eleven years later, when the second station was designed such ornate designs were considered impractival to maintain. Squire J. Vickers' designs, with name panels and plaques on a flat surface, were easier to clean." - Lee Stookey, Subway Ceramics
