Dola Sun, Sunrise Dreaming, 2018
Featuring a skyline view, Dola Sun depicts icons and landmarks of New York City. Her work includes yellow cabs, bridges, waterways, buildings and the subway. Using a collage-like technique and layers of textures, Sunrise Dreaming is set within a blue sky with the waking sun in the horizon. Beaming vitality is reflected with plants, animals and people traveling the city to begin a bright, new day.
Dola Sun is a freelance illustrator who works in traditional and digital mediums. Sun has received various awards and has created artwork for variety of publications.

|What's the Story||Modeled after the Poster Program, the Art Card Program was initiated in 1999 by MTA Arts & Design. The Program provides opportunities for illustrators, print, and other visual artists to create evocative artwork for display within newer subway cars. Subway riders have the opportunity to enjoy colorful imagery as a source of thought and inspiration while traveling through the system.|
