What's The Story
| Introduced with the R44 subway cars in 1971, New York City’s orange and yellow bucket seats brought a bold burst of color to the subway. Their warm tones stood out against the cooler interiors common in many post-war vehicles and reflected the design trends of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
